What is Origalo?
Origalo is an India-focused e-commerce platform built for small businesses, local sellers, traditional vendors, homegrown brands and emerging businesses that want to take their products online. It brings together an online store, product and inventory management, order management, payments and shipping in one place.
Who can sell on Origalo?
Origalo is built for small businesses, local sellers, traditional vendors, homegrown brands and makers who want a professional online presence and an easier way to sell their products online.
How much does Origalo cost?
Origalo is ₹4,999 per year — that works out to approximately ₹13.70 per day. Taxes and applicable third-party charges may apply.
Does Origalo charge commission?
No. Origalo does not charge a percentage-based commission on your sales. You pay for the platform itself, rather than giving up a percentage of every sale. Payment gateway charges, courier charges, optional WhatsApp order-notification credits and applicable taxes may still apply.
Do I need a payment gateway?
No, not to get started. You can begin by accepting Cash on Delivery (COD) and connect your own payment gateway whenever you’re ready to accept online payments.
Can I accept COD?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available from day one, so you can start selling without setting up online payments first.
Do I need a courier aggregator?
No, not to get started. You can begin with manual courier and connect your own courier aggregator later, when you’re ready to automate shipping.
Can I use manual courier?
Yes. You can manage shipping manually through your own courier of choice from the very start.
Can I connect my own payment gateway?
Yes. You can connect your own payment gateway and receive customer payments directly through your own payment account.
Can I connect my own courier account?
Yes. You can connect your own courier aggregator account to automate shipping as your business grows.
Who receives customer payments?
When you connect your own payment gateway, customer payments are processed through that gateway into your own payment account. Settlement timing is subject to your payment provider’s terms.
How does shipping work?
You can ship orders using manual courier from day one, or connect your own courier aggregator account to automate shipping as your business grows.
How does Origalo packaging work?
Origalo provides a range of packaging materials designed for shipping products through the platform — including Origalo-branded boxes, courier bags, brand stickers, icon stickers, tamper seals and thank-you cards.
Do I need GST to join?
GST requirements depend on the vendor’s business, products, turnover, registration status and applicable law. Vendors should consult a qualified tax professional for advice specific to their business.
Can I manage inventory?
Yes. Origalo lets you add products and manage your inventory as orders come in.
Can I manage orders?
Yes. You can receive, view and manage your orders directly through Origalo.
Does Origalo notify my customers about their orders?
Yes. Origalo can send WhatsApp order updates — order received, shipped and delivered — directly to your customers. WhatsApp notifications are billed per message from a prepaid message balance, separate from your annual platform fee. SMS notifications are not available yet.
